9400AD16 A/D Termination Panel
A Digital RS232 or USB connection with an analyzer is without a doubt the most effective means of collecting data and monitoring an instruments performance, however some older instruments and in particular meteorological sensors don't have RS232 or USB communication ports and only have analog outputs, it is for these instruments and sensors that the 9400AD16 Analog/Digital Termination Panel is used by the WinAQMS Data Acquisition System to collect data.
The 9400AD16 also has eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs. The digital outputs are used to control non Ecotech branded dilution calibrators or indicate alarm conditions and the digital inputs are used to record alarms from instruments, calibrators and out of service status inputs.
The 9400AD16 Termination Panel is mounted externally to the WinAQMS Data Acquisition System and connected using a single RS232 port. A wide range of sensor types can be interfaced to the 9400AD16 and further expansion to 32 or more channels is possible by simply adding another 9400AD16 module. Using its analog or frequency inputs, all types of instruments can be connected.
The 9400AD16 is equipped with lightning protection and can provide 5 & 12V DC power to meteorological sensors if needed
